I think there will only be 7. At the very beginning of chapter one, Toriel mentions Asriel will be visiting in one week. As a week is 7 days long, and each day is one chapter, it seems believable that Asriel visiting is going to be the ending.

Okay what if it's Noel stays a playable she is now a part of our group like a side character or like if one of the main characters like Susie go down Noel comes in as a replacement and if ralphie and Susie go down it's only Chris and Noel and there you can tell Noel to do snow grave again because there's nobody there to help her so the more you tell her to do snow grave the strongest she gets and then at the end of the game Noelle will probably be the angel of destruction not the angel of a freedom anymore cuz she's been lost and she'll probably freeze the fountains

i mean, kris has a human soul. im guessing that all humans can save since we've seen this with frisk and possibly chara. this would also make sense considering flowey was only able to save once he had the human souls.

The shadows represent the character's greatest fears. The orange boot could be Papyrus, worried that people won't like his enthusiastic self. The green curve could be Ralsei's hat, and how he was too shy at first to reveal himself to Kris and Susie. Noelle's shadow could be about fire, something something house fire incident??? The purple house is Susie's worst fear: her home. She could potentially have abusive parents, causing her bullying. Finally, Berdley's worst fear is himself: will the Gang™ like him for who he is? He's kept up thid facade for so long, what is he without it? I know this comment is 2 years late, but still.

Save points aren't ever mentioned in Deltarune, at least not yet. I don't think they will share as much of an impactful role as they did in Undertale, seeing as that game pretty much revolved around them fully. Deltarune just has them as a basic game mechanic and nothing more. I think it's like a "point of rest" for them, and every time they die or go back to a save, it's sort of like the events after that save point were all just a dream or something like that. But again, this is going off of info we have. I'm sure later down the line save-points will have some lore significance, although I doubt it'll be as much as Undertale's.

if they say gaster is shattered across time and space, what if redacted and mystery man are just pieces of gaster, what if you combine the mystery man on top of the white space on redacted’s model. That might give us a full look of gaster

I feel like the man behind the tree is likely to be Gaster, though my theory is not well-supported by evidences, but I still see some connections. Firstly, in the toom, we started off at the bottom of the room, with a straight path to the tree, just like a straight path to presumable gaster in the secret room. After that, upon interacting with whoever the character is, they disappeared, just like how gaster de-materialized upon interaction. Other than that, no connections, but I still think this is intentional, knowing the type of person Toby Fox is

the line "I just want to make everyone smile, and if I become an evil villain to accomplish that, is that bad?" makes me think Gaster might be the knight, which also adds the possibility that the dark fountain in the library has existed the longest, and that means that Dess could have fallen into a dark world, the sound of scratching first being mentioned in the unused text of chapter 2 could mean that they were buried somewhere in cyber world that Kris backtracks to a lot, the scratching possibly could be the sound of footsteps instead, as they add a question mark at the end. also, Ralsei being able to travel across dark worlds makes me think Ralsei is not a Darkener or Lightner... possibly a Goner but those are always greyed out. the shadows could play a role in all this though, I feel like the shadow that looks like fire is actually an upside-down image of Noelle's hair, and the boot stomping out pests' theory you had makes sense because Muffet might be involved in chapter 3. maybe the fire is possible, but Noelle uses ice, not fire. the green shadow is likely to be related to Ralsei hiding their identity. and if I'm correct that means that Dess fell into cyber world years before Deltarune starts, sneaking into the library with the help of Noelle, then when Noelle couldn't find Dess, they tried to hide it, meanwhile Dess fell asleep in cyber word and was confused for a dead person, so they were buried, then Spamton and Gaster could hear them, but never said anything. Kris and his friends arrive, before immediately splitting up and Kris meets Noelle. Spamton starts to faulter at the realization that Noelle is related to Dess, dropping hints that Dess is nearby, but Noelle never picks up on it, while Ralsei prevents Noelle from finding out, possibly hiding the fact that Gaster told them to. and in the next chapter, Muffet might act like Flowey towards Noelle because Noelle was "too stupid to find out" and "ignorant". is my theory good?

The glass could show what things are like outside the context of a game? Possibly if the dark worlds never existed, or even something about deltarune itself? A common theory seems to be that Kris is being sort of possessed by the player, what if the other characters are similar? that would explain Suzie glaring at you. I'm probably just over-analyzing this, but the shard of glass could be related to the "break" statement used in code to get out of functions or loops? Again, probably reading too much into this, but it's an interesting thought.

The reason theres 1 egg in the fridge, if you dont collect the egg, theres still an egg in there, so asgore probably had one inside before. It performs similarly to the egg crate in sans's shop

I mean i always assumed in undertale that when they say humans cant use magic, it was more so implying that they COULD but it was a skill they used less and less and eventually to humans it became a skill lost to time.
